Our Origins
Founded in 2015, Headline Merchandise was originally known as Gas Money Merchandise. The origin of the name was for upstart touring bands who made "Gas Money" selling T-Shirts. As we grew and added more services to our printing menu so did our bands, many of whom are not "upstarts" anymore.
Our Founders are part of a family known for Merch in the Carolinas. Kevin has worked managing tour merch for the largest bands in the world and has sold for just about everyone. While selling concert T-s he was often asked "where an I get shirts made for my band?", "what styles sell the best?", "how many shirts should I start with?". Upon referring out thousands of dollars in business a year to others, he had the idea to seek out the knowledge to do this in house for new bands. That's when Karen who has a creative edge and has been working with young bands for many years entered the picture and went out to learn printing band merchandise from the best professionals out there.
Our Growth
Over the years, Headline Merchandise has grown from a single purpose operation to a menu of printing options. We have upgraded to state-of-the-art t-shirt printing, art prints , sign and poster printing equipment. We have expanded our services to include digital printing, UV printing, embroidery, and more, and have worked with thousands of customers in the music industry. In 2020 when there was no Live Music we were forced to broaden our customer base from just band merchandise. Therefore, while music artist, schools and DJs are still our largest customer base, we now help business ROCK THEIR BRAND just as the bands have done. We also print for Events, Schools, Clubs and even funerals.
